Amethyst debated for Arlington High School for 4 years, coaching both the high school and middle school teams. During her time debating, Amethyst qualified, attended, and achieved a winning record at the UK Tournament of Champions in her junior year in PF. She qualified for the National Speech and Debate Tournament her senior year in PF and attended nationals three times in BQ and WSD. Coming from a smaller team without a coach, Amethyst specializes in teaching novices, running a successful program, and making speech and debate more accessible. Outside of debate, Amethyst loves recycling, painting, and watching horror movies.
